Samuel turns 1!

Here we go! My baby turned 1 on Saturday! I can't believe it. It was a bittersweet day. I am so happy that he's growing & learning new things, but I also want him to stay a baby for a little while longer. I feel like I didn't have enough of him as a baby. I'm sure all moms feel this way, but I especially do with him coming home to us at 7 1/2 months. I was also thinking of his foster mother & birthmother that are in Korea. I can't imagine how they were feeling. I'm sure it was a hard day for them. I pray for them that God would grant them peace to know he is doing well & thriving!

This is picture heavy, but I just have to show my little man off! :) First are pics from his birthday party!

Here's the birthday cake I made for him!

His special little cake. :)

The present & diaper table. We asked everyone to bring diapers for the "Covered in Hope" project instead of bringing gifts. We were blessed to receive 26 packs of diapers, which is about 200 cloth diapers! :) There's more coming too! As you can see, he got gifts too. :)

His dol table. I have a lot more on there than what they do in Korea. I wanted to has a seperate table for the Korea stuff, but I think it worked out great!

A candle we lit in honor of Samuel's birthmother & foster mother. They both have such a special place in our hearts & always will! I'm planning on lighting a candle in honor of them every year on his birthday.

His doljabee! He chose a ball & the won (money). :) Maybe we have the next NBA player or PGA player!

Opening his gift from momma & daddy.

He was so tired & this is what he did the whole time his cake was in front of him! LOL! :) I stuck his hand in it & he just sucked all the icing off it.

Pic with momma & daddy.

So tired, he fell asleep in carrier!

Nap time with daddy when we got home.

These pictures are from the photo contest we won with Blessed Reflections Photography. Thank you Kira! She did a great job!

Hope you enjoyed!

Happy birthday to your little boy! You did a fantastic job on his cake. You had me tearing up over the message for his birth mother and foster mother - that is just beautiful. Lighting a candle is something I also want to do every year (our son isn't home yet, we are waiting to travel).
