We were blessed again this morning before church with a donation towards our adoption! God is blessing us in so many ways! He is and has definitely provided financially. When Bill & I were first thinking about adoption, finances were the big hold up. It's a lot of money that has to be paid & it all seemed so overwhelming. We decided to just go ahead & start the process because God had shown us that adoption is what He wanted us to do. Each step or phase we've had to pay, He has provided! And it hasn't been from anyting we've tried to do...only HIM. Everytime I've tried to work more, I've ended up working less or Bill would work less that week. Each time we've put some money in the savings because we had extra that week, we've gotten a medical bill or some other outrageous bill (electric!) in the mail that needed to be paid. I'm just saying all of this because I want to remember that it was GOD who provided throughout it all! I want to have this post as a reminder that God is right here with us every step of the way even though others may look at us like we're crazy.
Even though we got some kind of bad news from our agency this week, He's still here. Just like our pastor said this morning: Just look at Genesis to know that no matter what we do, or what the world says, God's got His own timing & can do whatever He wants. He doesn't need us, He just uses us & uses us regardless of how we act. So, even though we got news that now the time from referral to travel (from the time we find out who our baby is to when we go to get them) has increased to 6 months(it was 3), God still is in control. We were also told it is usually 6-8 months before you get a referral (from the time Korea has our info.), but there is someone who is using our same agency that received their referral in 4 months! SO.......we were hoping we would have our baby before the end of the year. Looking at their timeline we probably won't, but with God all things are possible! :) If that is not God's plan, then we will deal with it when the end of the year comes, but until then I'm still hoping we will have our precious baby in our arms by the end of the year!

Very neat about the donations! God does provide for sure!
I have heard referrals are moving fast with our agency, so that is what I am hanging onto.....
Oh, Heather, I know all too well how discouraging this wait time can be. I'm struggling with it all, too. I so want our baby to be home by Christmas and I'm trying so hard to not think about how unlikely that probably is. BUT, we do not know what God has in store and I know we're both committed to trusting Him to put our babies in our arms in His time! How good He is to remind you that He loves you and is in control by sending that donation. It came at just the right time, didn't it?
It's great to see how God is providing for you. I am hoping that your referral is coming soon. Like you said, with God all things are possible! Hang in there :)
Great post! I'm hoping we will all be holding our precious babies sooner than we thought!!!
Hi Heather,
I'm so thrilled that God is providing for you in every way. He really is awesome! You're a couple of steps ahead of us and I know that the waiting is driving me crazy. I have to go clean for our homestudy visit tomorrow. Thinking of you!
