Progress

It's late, I'm tired, and I've been struggling with my computer the last several hours (it has some kind of "antivirus" spyware on it :( ), but I just couldn't go to bed without letting you all know about our progress! :)

Today we sent off our I-600a form. Some of you may not know what this is, so I'll try to explain. This is the first form you have to fill out and send to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services. It's basically an orphan petition prior to knowing who your child is. They check your background and you have to get fingerprints done, and they tell you if your eligible to bring a child into the US. It classifies the child as an "immediate" relative to the adoptive parents so a visa can be issued for the child (I believe this is how it all works anyhow). So we sent off the form & all of the fees that accompany that form! Yay! One step closer!

We also heard back from our social worker and will both have our individual home study visits this Sunday! After that we just have one more visit! Yeah!!!!!!! & of course that means more $ to send out.

Speaking of that, we have been blessed beyond measure! God is so awesome! He has provided each time we need to send $ in. We are going to be having our Christmas gift wrapping fundraiser this Saturday 2-5 @ New Life Church, so don't forget about that. Thank you to everyone that is or has donated things, as well as everyone that is planning on coming out and helping us wrap gifts! We can never thank you enough!
