Home study visit #2 down, & 1 more to go! Today was the individual visits. We did fine. Our SW is really easy to talk to & makes you feel comfortable. I went first b/c Bill wanted me to. He said, "You can go first & then tell me how bad it is." But honestly, I wanted to go first. My nerves would have been torn up! I was soooooooooo nervous yesterday! I don't know why. I guess I was worried people wouldn't come, & really not many did. God blessed us anyways though. But back to the visit, I went first & then Bill. Mine visit took a lot longer than Bill's. I think it's b/c I have a lot more family than he does. She asked about all of my immediate family & had me describe them & my relationship with them. She also asked about how Bill & I met & all of that. We looked at pictures & just talked about all of you, my family! Haha! It was good though. She said Bill talked really fast so his was over in no time. As I said before though, he has less family! :)
So, it was a success! All we have left is our physicals. The doctor has to fill out a specific form for them & our placing agency. That visit is on 12/17. They didn't have anything sooner. Then our last & final visit! Yippee! Unfortunately, then the wait begins. Once our homestudy is finished, our agency sends it to the US Homeland Security. They look @ that & approve us to adopt. Then all of that along with a "dear birthmother" letter & 10-12 pictures of our family & friends is sent to Korea. Thankfully our agency doesn't have a waiting list to send our home study to Korea. They send it when it's finished. Then we wait 6-8 months for our referral, get the referral, accept it, send in the big bucks, & then travel for our baby in 3-4 months! Whoo! At least we're getting the "ball out of our court" & into theirs!
